Rise and Shine
The Apostle Paul tells us as Christians to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. (Romans 12:15) Of course, as brothers and sisters in the family of God, we all know that we should be able to share both our joys and our sorrows with one another. As a church, we had both in the last few days. 1. Of course, on the sorrowful side of the scale, the passing of Ruth Heathington was one of those sorrows that we all shared. But, if you were at the funeral, you probably felt blessed like I did to hear Sister Ruth’s wonderfully insightful poem about being way past noon.

Thank You
We have received a Thank You from the teachers and staff of Bozeman elementary. There so many signatures that a few had to sign on the back. They appreciate so much the lunch that was served on May 8. We pray that our influence on the work at Bozeman will continue to remembered after it’s closing.
“Thank You” notes from Amy Cleveland and children are also posted on the bulletinboard. (The children signed them, too.)
To Manases Gauna and Sam Burton and Howard Woods for all the extra work on the outside of the church grounds they’ve been doing recently. There may be others that have helped at times that we do not know about. We want all of them to know that they are appreciated so very much.
COMING UP:
For VBS, Melody would like to make a “Marriage Hall of Fame”. If you would like to be included in this, please give her a copy of your wedding picture or early marriage picture and a present day picture. If given the original, she will scan it and get it back to you quickly. We want the kids to see that Parkway believes God when He said, “One Man One Woman for Life.”
Mothers & Daughters Tea We had 50 ladies [including “little ladies” from Mirakle Guzmán on up to Sara Davis (92) and Louise Valdez (88], for our ladies tea Saturday afternoon, May 12. Thank you to all the ladies for being here and making memories.
